I agree that it is an enhancement, it can be argued that maphack is also an enhancement. Blizzard has never (to the best of my knowledge) given permission to anyone to do this. if ANYONE can't see the logic in what I'm saying here. however, stateing an oppinion on this matter around here is usually not taken very well, so I may be away for a while after this. then use them to trade for other items ?Īnyway.

what sort of idiot would EVER download all the items in the game. FOR WHAT? I already have the character editor. then I'm going to proceed to spend hours online posting and tradeing in the single player forum to trade. which essentially gives me ANY item in the game. I'm going to download a character editor. We don't want our tradeing enviornment polluted with these duped and created items.

We have a single player tradeing community, of valid legit items.

I've had a mod in the single player forum say something to the effect of: They as well as ATMA can ONLY be used in single player. well, they are even more like ATMA than maphack. Oh, and for single player character editors. but still it's a little different when it's completly independant of the game files/memoryspace.

they are still violations leagally speaking, because they are derivitive works, based on blizzards copyrighted material. and are therefore not of the same status. they have no interaction with the game files. The other apps that dii.net hosts are different. but clearly stating in the forum rules "NO 3rd party links, help etc. However, we feel that using it does not drastically, or as drastically affect the balance of the game, therefore we choose to allow it on our site. It is the same status of program as maphack. If people would simply say, look, we know ATMA is not right. well, check the single player forums here and mencion maphack to see how well it's recieved. legally it is just as wrong to use as maphack (in single player) I'm not talking about here, because when you create an account on b.net you agree to another eula, so using maphack on b.net is 2 eula violations. However what I am against is people trying to justify it as 'OK'. it makes testing new characters in single player sooooo much easier. I don't have anything against atma, I don't think that using it is cheating, I have it and I love it.

ok, so if having an unlimited stash, accessable through any of your characters is not an advantage, I don't know what is. Some will say, "oh but maphack gives you an advantage over someone who dosen't us it.".

Just hoping to clear up any confusion you might have with the discrepency you may notice between the 'actual' written rules and what is actually allowd in the forum. (this is the reasoning I've been given behind the decision, when I asked in the past.) however, 'they've decided' so that's how it is. There's no actual logical reason that anyone can argue, because it's clearly 100% against their very own written 'forum rule'. The reason for this, is because this is a privately owned site, the owners can make any desision they want.

So basically, you're allowd to talk about that particular breech of an end user license agreement, just not any others. an unauthorized 3rd party application (hack). This rule is a little misleading since, this site supports ATMA. The rules ban help or linking to unauthorized 3rd party applications (hacks). Just to help you with any future confusion. Ya man, like noodle and jordy said, check google, you should be able to find 'zonfire' pretty easily.
